SAW - SAW Classic - SAW Studio
I posted about the SAW icon and mhd replied:
"Hadn't heard about that one before, so I went a-googling. Is this "SAW Studio" (https://www.rmllabs.com/MainSite/sawstudio.html)? Apparently back in the days it was written totally in machine code and cost about $2000 for a full version…"
Here's my response.
I also have SAW Studio. Before there was SAW Studio there was a win 3.1 program called SAW written in assembly, as I recall. I think I paid around $300 and later got a free upgrade to SAW Classic, a more complete DAW but still very outdated by today's standards.
I use SAW Classic for radio production and mastering. It does good math and just sounds better.
I still have to learn SAW Studio. It is a much more up to date environment with all the good math intact.
Thanks
